Working as a Tour consultant/ travel agent for quite a number of years now... Even if people or students tend to ask me why am I still in this trade (tourism) as working hours and salary may not be as good as normal office jobs. Although it sounds really dumb but yes it's Passion in it. As in I love the fact that everyday am facing different client with different questions etc. To me getting to know the fares and rates for each country really excites me as I will tend to work hard and have holiday!
No, I don't love tour leading but I love to know/visit places that some days I might have a chance to go for holiday with my love ones. While working I really do love to share my experiences with client and peoples I like. :) Picking up phone calls and serve walk in client enquiries are norm during working and I do enjoy the process, of coz dealing with nice or normal peeps. Minus nasty peeps... Readers out there, would like to share a few steps with you when calling travel agents for quotations. :) I know peeps tend to get quite anxious speaking to strangers out there but hey most travel agents are friendly and uber nice if you are nice too... heehee
First - Never say something like " I want to go Japan, How Much?!" Ehhh.... You want to go to Japan, Where? Narita? Hokkaido? Or Fukushima? Most important is WHEN? 1 year got 365days, pls don assume we know when is your leave and when you are free to travel pls... So simply let us know by telling us Where and When. Best is letting us how many persons is travelling. If you are travelling ALONE pls let us know, as we tend to use 2 person to go rate to quote. It's not easy to calculate again and again for you, please think of there are other client trying to reach us too. If every call we tend to talk like grandmother story, don't need to do sales any more... Get it?
If you know that you are some hard core Singapore airline supporter, pls do let us know too... If not we will quote other cheaper airlines... It's pretty sad when we quote example - Malaysia airline, we hear something like eeeeeeeee.... Don't want, I wan SQ. De fug?! U wan SQ just let us know pls... Same for hotel - 3 star - 5 star or whatever hotel you have in your mind.

During working days, dealing with lots of questions etc I truly don't mind. BUT I simply dislike it when it's my well deserve rest day I got calls, sms, email or friends/family asking me. At first am really alright with it but as times goes by, people tend to get used to it. As if my rest day finally can really rest my mind and soul, I got questions coming in... Plus they also ask the same way, it's pretty annoying when it's your own friends or relatives behave in this way. Worse part is I always accept it and answered back. :( So now, no more pls... It's like a snowball, roll and roll and roll... My part in giving in has to stop if not am always grumpy like got off as if no off day like that... Example - you are a teacher yet during your rest/off day, people around you asking you questions on how to slove this this this asking you to mark their essays. First few times ok but if almost every time it's really arghhhh.... Need more example? - Doctors, when ever you meet your friends or relatives they came asking you to check their body or answering questions like why I keep coughing blah blah blah~ And you need to crack your brain as if you are consulting patients. Our jobs may not be as great as theirs but it's just some examples that I can think of right now.
That's the look am so gona give when it's my off day yet you ask me questions! Even got enquires from peeps when it's freaking 7am in the morning! My phone no silent mode. Argh... Not once but a few times liao... Am a super light sleeper, a bit also can wake up kind. So my deep sleep is really very important. I mean am somebody who is quite zi dong, I know if there is no emergency matters will try to call after 10am or later. Not 7am in the morning? X-X Mr Yip mention that he will be giving me another num for work only mobile. So I can have my body and soul relax. Why? Yes, it's pretty stress to deal with nonsense peeps and rude peeps... Turn over rate for travel/service industry is quite high... maybe it's due to this reason. But am not going to stop providing my knowledge and experiences until the day comes that my passion is no longer there. :)
Talking about travel experiences, I do at times love to chat and talk about it with friends. So if I started my convo in travelling with friends means am pretty much comfortable in chatting with you. :)
Will be travelling to Taiwan this coming April! It's like in three weeks time yet I don't feel excited leh... Maybe due to Travel fair coming up again? Travel carnival on 23-25March, want promo and cheap things go travel fair!Book early too... ^_^

It's March2012! Yet am posting New Year 2012! ;p
This year am officially Mrs Yip, so parents allow me to stay later than before. Means I can go back really late when Yip is around to send/accompany me home... :) We went there early to "book" a gd spot but sadly all gd spots are taken so we walk pretty far away to get so call " gd spots"... Lol~
Yip was really excited to try this new digi baby... Half professional friend of ours derlun teach him some steps in using DSLR... I cant believe guys really go that far on spending money on lenses! Luckily Yip got me to control!
Other friends started to reach. :) Too last min to jio ppl out... :p
Flo lost her way or too crowed! And it's nearly 12am sooo phone line super hard to contact each other. In the end we enjoy the fire works together but not physically together... Hahaha... Started to play monopoly card deal! While waiting the clock to strike 12...^^

Yip was telling me about New year first kiss the other day that in New york ppl give kisses to their partner. So we also have our new year first kiss right before the fire works end! Quickly ask him to make a wish too! Heh~

Happy Valentine's Day! This year dearly decided to celebrate earlier on Sat weekend... :) Took leave since I need to clear my 2011 leave by march and prepare for our dating! Was shopping around online for dress to wear but too last min (2 days before...-_-), in the end dearly picked out a dress for me to wear in my wardrobe. :p
Due to feb is a busy month for travel partners who will be taking part in NATAS travel fair and my health is not really in pink... :( So I didn't plan or bought anything for him... Plus we already promise each other not to buy any gifts as we need to save more for our upcoming Taiwan trip... :)
Dearly insist on bringing me for a dinner date... But he wanted to keep it a secret... Yes, he did kept it so well and did his research that I didn't know this restaurant/place existed.
Early in the morning collected my new Passport at ICA. Pretty happy with their fast service! Must book online appt before going down and collect... Only waited for 5 mins? Hey, it's a Sat! Only 5 mins?! Impressive! New passport and cant wait for our journey this year! Love collecting country stamps on passport! When am really bo liao, will take out my passport and look through those stamps and think back where I been to and the experiences. :D
After passport collecting, went to CWP. He mention that we can watch movie but I just know something is not right! Took cab here and there? Just to go CWP to watch movie? We can go town watch wat? But he replied saying he like CWP cinema...-_- BUT I know he is up to something! I smell flowersss~ Heeheehee.... So..... upon reaching cwp... we walked pass florist shop without stopping... -_- at first I was like errrr... a tad disappointed... To me whats V day without flowers? ;p My eyes are lock at the balloons and pretty things in the florist shop! I think he can read my mins lar... He smiled and pull me against our usual walking direction. Telling me, baby, I know U like the balloons... We go and see see only okay?! I was like... NO LAR... Don't spend it on balloons... :( But he's stronger than me lar... pull me into the shop and walk towards the balloons... By far - the balloons look chio... Near - I think it's not for me... Wanted to walk out but he went towards the counter and say smth like he's collecting flowers that he had ordered days before... :D I was puzzled... Sales girl just smiled at me and proceed to check his order... Awwwww..... Striking pink roses for year 2012... ^_^ After knowing the price of the roses... :( My heart is like huh... BUT am still happy leh... Any way dearly learned his lesson... Flowers must book early to enjoy discount... This year he miss that discount by 1 day! So wasted! I think 10% or more discount!
Was very embarrassing to carry roses to walk around coz not much people was celebrating advance! Saw a couple of people carrying flowers and I felt better... ;p Chill and relax a while and we're lucky that we saw this fountain started pouring?! Activated? :) Arrived at Pan pacific hotel... :) Secret discovered! But I hav no idea which part of Pan pac he was bringing me to.... I think it's at level 37... He knows me well... :) Lvl 37 I still can enjoy my lift experience... Upon reaching lvl 35 plus my legs going to be jelly! Just nice! Pan pac lift was pretty nice that it faces outside for scenery viewing... Yes! Chinese restaurant! ^_^ Felt so relax and we are given hot towel each...
Was pretty full from the Anderson ice cream dessert in the noon... So I insist on small portion ordering... Thought 3 dishes will be just nice BUT it turned out way too much... Eat until I was so bloated! Luckily I stopped him from ordering two more dishes! Our first try, ostrict meat... errr... taste like beef? But softer... Thumbs up for their customer service! Service staff was asking us permission whether he can prepare individual dining for this dish or not... Upon showing us that whole full bowl of scallops and prawns...

Was working on mon and I only felt that my cold is getting bad to worse... Don't wanna drag anymore and plan to consult sin seh since these few months is all "english" doc but my flu just on and off... :( Not good at all... Dearly come and fetch me after work and I feel like dying! My body is hurting me... Machiam like preggy women, keep holding n rubbing my back coz it's painful... Luckily I made appointment before dropping by... Didnt wait too long but still long coz really got quite a num of ppl waiting. :( Sin seh check on me and he's like shock mode when he saw my temperature...-_-... Hahaha... Like Oh! Fa shao le! Fa shao le!... Telling me my body need to tiao... can not one shot give me all tonic... Dearly! Thanks for staying by my side... :) Heart it so much when u insist on boiling water and make my medicine for me to consume... Not once but for so many times when u r by my side... On 14Feb! Just recovered from fever... ^_^ Dental appt! Checking has to be done first, my two baby tooth are in gd condition. How ever I need to go down again for another dental appt for one adult tooth minor decay... :( Ouch! Not looking forward but must go through all these! Xian ku hou tian! Go wet market and supermarket coz we planned to cook dinner at home! Weee~ Trying to cook new dish! 3 types of dishes with 1 soup! I did the soup well! Yip did everything so good! Mummy was impressed and telling yip that he can cook well! No need to worry and asking me to learn from him... Heh!~ I will mom! Just cant wait for our future! ;)

Day Three 06 Sep 2011 Disneyland! =D
Excited!!!
Super sunny, so we bought brolly... Yip bought a black one, while me picking the pink one...:)
First princess that I went gaga over it! Heehee~
Beautiful show! Too bad our digi cam cant capture fast movements... :( Now got dslr I wanna go any Disneyland again!
Oh... My fav princess! Didn't know am so happy until doing this lame pose... argh!
Cinderella is really pretty! Where snow white was errrr scary? Even the way she talk we also scare lo... It's like high pitch voice when she talks!
Lunch at Plaza inn... :)
Oh... I love this attraction too... It's a small small world... It's pretty and happy inside! Got air con! I think all attraction have air con in Disney... It's good amount of air con, not too cold nor hot! I like!
Yip bought Disney slippers for me, coz my foot is hurt... ;p nonsense kid wear new heels to Disney land! Act chio only...;p
Aurora? Princess... hahaha.... Yip was asking her smth abt why she's not sleeping?! So funny! Princess even replied back to him lor....-_- We ended the conversation by she inviting us to her castle...Hahaha... (HKG Disney castle is sleeping beauty theme)
Fireworks at 8pm! Mad beautiful!!! Too bad no dslr to capture beautiful moments... We even can even talk to people ard us while waiting for fireworks! In the end, found out that they are from Malaysia! Our neighbour county... :) Disney land is indeed a happiest place on earth for me... :) Yip mention that I like Disney cause all the rides I dare to take... Means am kiddo! Hahaha... good what! Next time can enjoy with our kiddos... :D

Yu Dan... One of the most delicious street food we had. Ocean Park! Weather is mad hot and humid... :( Therefore didn't enjoy much in ocean park... They should have more air con places... Like Disney~~~
After Ocean park... we went to Xin guang da dao for lighting show... BUT it's really nth much to see... Oh... Miss this snack! It's really chewy and fresh... * Next post will be my fav places on earth! HK Disney land! ^_^
